Why choose Everything on 4 Legs?

Yes, birds, snakes, and fish too..
Because I am uniquely and diversely qualified to be entrusted to care for your 4-legged best friends. Let me tell you why...
My name is Suzzanne and I am from Ann Arbor, Michigan. I have had a passion for animals of every kind since I was a child. I joined the Army in 1985 and became a Veterinary Technician. The next 4 years were a very interesting experience with animals to say the least! When I got out in 1989, I continued to work as a civilian Veterinary Technician for many years.
Ultimately, I began to dabble in dog training. I consider behavior therapy with my own German Shepherd, Nadia, one of the most rewarding experiences I've had as a dog trainer. Nadia was very fearful and aggressive with men. I could only assume she had had negative experiences with men since I got her from the shelter when she was 3 years old. In less than 6 months, through various classical conditioning techniques, she was not only no longer afraid of men, but genuinely relaxed and comfortable around them. Behavior issues can be very difficult for both the owners and the animal, but sometimes a surprisingly simple solution can be found.
The number one offender in behavior issues is lack of exercise and infrequent new stimulus. By simply walking and interacting with a pet throughout the day, it will often eliminate boredom, weight gain, depression, and destructive behavior. This is why I decided to open my own pet sitting/walking business in the Ann Arbor area. I realize that some pet owners are unable to be with their animals throughout the day or when they have to be out of town. It can be traumatic for an animal to be removed from their home and placed in a boarding kennel. It's been my experience that it is ultimately much more beneficial to allow that pet to be able to stay in their own familiar environment.
